New Gypsy to use with Cricut

I picked up my pre-order of the new Gypsy..It was made by Provo Craft to work with the Cricut. It is really a neat tool. You can download all of your cartridges on it and carry it where you go. You can make pages, save them and when you get home cut them out. I am going to try it out when we go to Whitney's wedding on Oct 9th. They will be ready to sale at Michael's on Oct 4, 2009. I am still trying to get a Cricut training class going, so let me know if you would like to attend, we hope to learn some more techniques to use with the cricut. Enjoy life!!

Today, I donated to the Breast Cancer Awareness by buying myself a new Pink Cricut Expression. I am so excited. I had the orignal Cricut but it is at house in Del Rio. Since I am working on Ruby's scrapbook I needed a new one.lol!!! I also pre-ordered the gypsy..which is a adapter that you can download all of your Cricut cartridges on it so you don't have to keep up with your cartridges. Yippee..can't wait to get home and play with it.

Scrapbooking Trip To Lakehouse

On July 17th, Eli, Billie and I left early Friday morning to go on our Scrapbooking Escape to lakehouse in Del Rio, TX. We had a great time shopping, scrappin, eating and laughing. Sorry we could not take everyone but limited space. My Navigator was stuffed from top to bottom. Took forever to unload in the 100 degree weather.

Saturday morning we went shopping, found this place called Maria's Flowers which had tons of pottery, so we again loaded the navigator up. Thank goodness Andy was with us so he could bring the big turtle Eli bot home. We had a great week-end and finished a bunch of pages in our scrapbooks.

Great American Scrapbook Convention

Kim Finke and I left Wednesday morning to go to Arlington to the Great American Scrapbook Convention which started Thursday morning. We had a blast. Shopped until we dropped. My friend, Cindy Faught, from Garland, TX came over to shop with us. We spent lots of money but had fun and got lots of new items to play with. I will try to work on some of the stuff and post soon. I am still trying to recuperate. It is hard to shop for 9 hours without stopping. But was lots of fun. We saw a lot of people from Midland/Odessa area. I learned some new stuff on glotter techniques so next Christmas Card Cross Camp Stamp will be a surprise to everyone. Am so excited.

Stamp Camp June 6, 2009 Bag & 4 cards

We made the cutest cards and bag to match this past week-end. We had fun playing with the wheels and finally mastered them.

Christmas Card

I started making Christmas Cards in April. Try to do stamp camps, the last Saturday of every month. We make 6 identical cards so by December you should have over 50 cards. I made a pink Cross card that turned out so pretty. Just wanted to share it. I am on a roll, my personal goal is to make 150. I am well on my way, have 25 made already. Yippee!!!

Memorial Day Week-End May 22, 2009

We went to Pagosa Springs, Colorado for the week-end. Of Course, we had to spend the week-end cleaning the cabin to get it ready to rent out for the summer. But it was still so beautiful. It was misty all week-end. Nice and cool. Yesterday morning fog was covering the mountain so it was beautiful. I know now why Colorado is called "God's Country", it is certainly beautiful. The San Jaun River is in front of the cabin and it was out of its banks. they have had record rain this year. Which is wonderful for us, so we do not have to worry about fire dangers. Just wanted to share this beauty with you. More later.

Busy Times in May!

It has been really hot here and dry. We went to Del Rio over the week-end so I had a chance to cut out card stock for my Christmas Card Stamp Camp on May 30th and get my cute project cut out and ready for Stamp Camp & Stamp Club on June 6, 2009. That project is really cute. It is a bag with 4 different cards using the Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel. I think everyone will like it.

It has been busy as usual. Andy finished his texturing and painting in his room , put his new Murphy Bed set in and it is beautiful. He is so proud. As soon as he gets all of his tools out of there, I'll post pictures. He plans to start on the other bedroom with texturing and painting. Not sure if we will buy another Murphy Bed set for it or not. They are really expensive but so much more room and storage. So we will see. I have been working in my building...don't laugh..re-doing stuff again. I am going through all of my plastic drawers trying to clean each one out so I know what I have and where it is. So every afternoon when I get home from work, I am out there working. I really can't call it work, it is my therapy..I love it.

We will leave on Friday for Pagosa Springs, Colorado for the week-end to clean up the cabin for the June renters. So I will be exhausted when we get back. But since I have lost 10 pounds it will be a little easier to go up and down the three flights of stairs. I have been pretty faithful on my diet, it seems the last couple of days I am really starting to drop. I was on a plateau for 2 weeks and it almost drove me crazy. But now I am back to losing again. I want to lose quite a bit before Whitney's wedding in October. So I am really trying, walking on treadmill, drinking lots of water(which I hate), eating vegatables (which I also don't care much for), but I am determined I am losing and not gaining it back. (right)!

The sad news is ...we had to lay Jamie off at work..BooHoo!!! I enjoyed having her so much but it is really slow so we have to cut back..I know she will get another job before she leaves for college. She is bright and very hard worker. She is an asset to any company. Will miss her so much.

Guess I better get busy before I get laid off..Not a chance!!! He loves me too much.lol

May Showers (hopefully)

Hopefully, May will bring us some of the needed rain that Texas so desperately needs. It is so dry here. Had a really great time at the National Scrapbooking week-end on May 1st and 2nd. Made lots of cards and not much scrapbooking, but we had fun. Been making Mother's and Father's Day cards and they are so pretty. I am finally caught up on sending my birthday cards out. I vow to never get 3 months behind again. I am making about 40 identical birthday cards so I can be ready every month. Not much going on here, just staying really busy. Will put some pictures up tomorrow. later!

April Showers & Snow in Colorado

I am back...I have been in Colorado for a few days. It was beautiful weather especially with the snow on Saturday.
April 4, 2009 we had our Monthly Stamp Club Meeting making Easter Items.

I have several Stamp Camps on Tuesday's and Thursday's this month so we will see how they go. Check out the calendar for dates.

We have been going to lake in Del Rio on Lake Amistad. I have been working on Ruby Alice's First Year down there but not making a whole lot of progress. But I am organized as can be.lol Love the area down there, people are so friendly. I could retire there.

Anyway, just wanted to put quick post so you know I am still alive and kicking. Been a rough year on the pancreas, don't know why I am having so many problems. I am much better.

March Madness is here!

I am sorry I have not been updating my blog but I have been so busy. I have been cleaning up my workshop, purchased a lake house on Lake Amistad in Del Rio, TX. & have not been feeling very good. As most of you know I have Lupus, so I have to be cautious with my immune system. Well, this year has been so dry & allergies are going wild but also is the Lupus. So I am having to slow down some. I won't be having something every week- end like I did last year. I am going to have stamp camps probably every other week until I get to feeling better.

I am working on my march schedule so it will be posted soon. I hope to hear from you soon.

Valentine's Day is coming???

I Love Valentine's Day, so many things you can do.. I will post Saturday night what we do at Stamp Camp on Saturday, Jan 24th. Really cute book and cards.

Still trying to organize my workshop but not making much headway. I will someday finish. I am going thru every box and drawer in there, so you know what a chore that is.

Stampin'Up! Sale-a-bration starts Feb 1st, for the ones that don't know about it, here goes. For every $50.00 you purchase in product, you get free stamp set or ribbon from the SAB Mini Catalog. So it is the perfect time to stock up on what you might need so you will get free products. If you have a workshop or sign up to be a demonstrator, you also receive free products. So give me a call if you are interested. Gotta run for now, post more later.

2009 is here!!

Well it is hard to believe 2008 is over and 2009 is here. This weather has been beautiful but we need rain. It is so dry, have not had rain in forever. Lot of sickness going around, maybe rain would settle some down. I had a wonderful Christmas, did a lot of traveling but had fun. The first week of January my new yard was installed by my workshop. It is so beautiful. Always green..Plush Turf 365 is the name of it. No watering, mowing, fertilizer, no maintenence at all. I love it. Molly can also still do her business with no problems. Just trying to get her to do it at the back instead of center of yard. Still working on that, may take awhile to change that habit.

EVCO (our business) has cut hours so we are back to 40 hours a week and I love it. Getting off at 3:30pm is wonderful. Just wish I could only work 2 or 3 days a week, but Andy says "No". So for now I will enjoy 8 hours a day, every day.

Stampin'Up's new catalog came out January 19th, been really busy so haven't droolled over it yet. I ordered a couple new stamp sets and lots of the accessories. They have some cute buttons and ribbons. I need a few weeks to soak the new catty in, then I will be on a roll. Sale-A-Bration starts on February first so things will be hopping for 6 weeks. Love giving stuff away so get ready to see what it is all about.

Better go for now...
